Rediscovering OPM

Synthesis

I can no longer remember the last time I purchased an audio CD. It has been too long that I lost track. I vividly remember how I make sure to hang out in the music stores when I was still in college in between our classes and how much CDs I used to have way back and are now dusting somewhere in our house.

To make the long story short, three days ago I purchased Synthesis, an independently produced album here in the Philippines. I got curious and decided to give it a try.

Well, I was not disappointed. It is a pretty solid album. I was surprised at the artist’s musicality and I love all the tracks. But my personal favorites are Sayo Pa Rin and Barcelona. The music is catchy and the lyrics are well written. I was hoping there were more tracks though.

Kudos to Glaiza and her team! If you are into Indie Pop, please do grab a copy of this album. It is worth the money plus you get to support and encourage independent producers and composers to create more music.
