Thai Movies Over The Weekend

I have this growing fondness for Thai movies lately. Thanks to Aom Sushar Manaying. I fell in love with her after watching Yes or No and immediately became a fan.

I remember watching Hello Stranger and Crazy Little Thing Called Love a few years back but because I have too many Korean dramas and movies in line waiting to be watched, I didn’t pay too much attention to other Asian films. But don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed watching both Thai movies.

Chob Kod Like Chai Kod LoveSo, back to my real post today. hehehe… Two days ago, I finished watching this Thai movie Chob Kod Like Chai Kod Love.

The movie stars Ankun Thanasubchareon, Niti Chaichitatorn, Patiparn Pataweekarn and Aom Sushar Manaying.

It is a romantic comedy film about Tong , a guy who is known as Doctor Love and runs an online “love confession” company together with his three friends. They were contacted by a rich businessman, Sampao who would like to make a love confession to Min, a flight attendant in Bangkok Airways, after falling in love at first sight with her.  Things get more complicated as it was revealed later on in the film that Min and Tong have a past together.

For some reasons, this film made me feel that I was watching a Filipino movie. The plot is similar to most of the films I have watched here in the Philippines. Up until now, I am thinking which scene left a mark on me but nah, I can’t think of any as of the moment.

Overall, it is a feel good movie. One that will leave you smiling after watching. Still I will recommend this to any hopeless romantics like me.

I have started watching this movie a few weeks back but was not able to finish it until last night. So here it goes:

The story is about a guy named Q, who was an egotistic heartthrob during his high school days but ended up as an appliance/equipment mall promodiser growing up. He is in love with her neighbor Ker but too afraid to tell her because he rejected her when they were still young. Things get more interesting when Q became a cupid man and found out that Ker was paired to Big, Q’s boss who holds a grudge on him because of an incident during his high school days.

I find this movie really funny, especially, when Q was trying to tell Ker that he loves her and all that comes out are totally ridiculous words that made him sound like a pervert. I really liked that scene when Q was wearing a fish costume while pouring his feelings to Ker but instead of saying the right words what comes out were just perv things. I think it was a scene that is really difficult to do because Arak was trying to pour his emotions while saying funny things. Good job, Arak!

Yup, another must watch for my fellow hopeless romantics. 🙂
