I had this movie sitting on my portable hard drive for quite some time now. I remember downloading it because of the Korean actress Park Shin Hye. I’ve watched a few of her dramas and thought that it would be refreshing to see her in a movie this time.
Last weekend, I finally had the chance to watch this Korean movie entitled Miracle in Cell No.7 which everyone has been talking about in Facebook. I kept seeing it in my news feed thus the curiosity and the reason I finally decided to watch it.
The movie was about a mentally challenged father and his daughter and their special relationship. They were living a happy life together until the father was accused of a crime he did not commit.
To be honest, it was funny and sad at the same time. There were funny scenes especially the ones inside the cell like how the father’s cellmates smuggle the child inside and their failed attempt to bring her back outside.
There were a lot of scenes that one could relate in one way or another with regards to their own relationships with their dads that will sure to make the tears well in your eyes.
The actor who played the dad part was really good as well as the little girl who played the child’s part.
What really breaks my heart in this movie was the harsh truth about how the society and those who holds power can abuse those helpless individuals like the father in story.
I only have one thing to say about this movie. It was well acted and told that it will warm your hearts and will sure to make you cry. Must watch if you wanna ball your eyes out for a good movie.
